A hybrid event for Bea’s naming ceremony
Bea’s Naming Ceremony was a socially distanced, online, offline, real life, tactile, celebration of life. The event was a fully hybrid celebration, with close family getting together in socially distanced “pods” in a garden, and wider friends and family joining via zoom. As a hybrid event the experience for both guests who joined in real life and virtually needed to be equally considered, to allow everyone to celebrate and create shared memories. Those joining from home would be able to enjoy the same food and drinks as those in the garden, and had received the same stationery and accessories, creating a feeling of shared experience despite not being physically together. Designed to be beautiful and joyful with a focus on sustainability, localisation and a conscious approach – a true 2020 event.
What a truly magical experience you created – just the tonic we all need in these strange times. The flowers, the blessings, the gifts we revived the week before – we felt so much a part of it and loved being (almost) there to celebrate with you.
